Verifying JOSDK with Kotlin

We had multiple users in the past which were using the framework with kotlin, and found some bits and pieces which where not working nicely with Kotlin. We might want to add some smoke tests and/or integration tests for basic features with Kotlin.

Hi, I'd like to work on this issue.

My plan is to add a small Kotlin-based smoke/integration test module that verifies a basic reconciler, resource creation/update, and Kotlin interoperability with the public API.

Before I start, could you confirm whether these are the right features to cover first, or whether you would prefer a smaller initial scope?
