Run action hangs at "Resolving main class..." with no further response

When I click the Run button, a "Resolving main class..." popup appears but nothing happens afterward. Clicking Run again does not trigger the popup, and the IDE becomes completely unresponsive. The only workaround is to reload the window.

Crucial Clue:
This issue only occurs when the project uses JDK 1.8. When I switch the project which use JDK 21, the run action works perfectly.
